5 things you should know about the new VW Polo
YOU probably weren’t blown away by the exterior changes made to the VW Polo for its 2014 ‘facelift’ but there really is more going on here than you think.
Here are five of the most exciting new features of the new Polo, which reveal exactly why it’s now a better company car choice than ever before.
New TSI Bluemotion
Volkswagen has ditched the old Bluemotion diesel model and replaced it with a petrol-powered TSI Bluemotion.
It uses a 1.0-litre turbocharged three-cylinder with 89bhp and is capable of an astonishing 68.9mpg.
Bigger news for small fleets is its 94g/km, meaning it qualifies for 100% first year write down allowance. The entry-level 1.2 engine has now been replaced by a naturally aspirated 1.0-litre borrowed from the up! city car, too, so all the petrols are far more efficient.
Better diesel engines
The 1.2 and 1.6 TDI diesels of the old VW Polo have now both been replaced by a 1.4-litre three-cylinder TDI.
