AA Driving School adds three new EV models to instructor fleet
The AA Driving School has expanded its electric vehicle fleet for franchise instructors with the addition of models from Mini, Volkswagen and BYD.
Three more electric vehicle models have joined the AA Driving School fleet, giving franchised instructors greater choice as demand for EV tuition continues to grow.
The Mini Aceman SE, Volkswagen ID.3 Pro Hatch and BYD Dolphin Comfort are now available to franchisees, offering additional options for those teaching in electric vehicles.
The move follows the school’s launch of EV driving lessons in March 2022. Since then, the number of learners opting for electric vehicles has steadily increased. In 2024, franchisees delivered more than 68,000 hours of tuition in EVs.
Emma Bush, managing director of AA Driving School, said: “As we head closer to 2030 and the ban on the sale of new combustion cars, more and more learners will want to learn in an electric vehicle as that’s all they will plan to drive.
“We’re here to help instructors build successful businesses and an important part of that is offering a wide choice of vehicles to ensure they always meet rising consumer demand.
“The new cars are all great models to learn in, giving our franchised instructors a modern tuition car to teach the next generation of driver in.”
The expansion reinforces the school’s commitment to supporting instructors and learners as the market transitions to electric mobility.
