Adler & Allan implements DAVIS to reduce risk on its fleet

Environmental risk reduction specialist, Adler & Allan, has implemented Licence Check’s Driver and Vehicle Information Solutions (DAVIS) to reduce the risk on its fleet.
The system checked the driving licences of more than 1,000 fleet drivers to ensure greater accuracy and transparency.
Harrogate-based Adler & Allan operates more than 1,000 cars, vans, HGVs and plant on its central fleet.
Adler & Allan said that, to meet its corporate duty of care obligations in its business, checking, monitoring and validating drivers’ licences could be a mammoth administrative task – especially as licence checks are carried out every three months for all drivers.
It has implemented DAVIS to allow the continual monitoring of all drivers, including newcomers and leavers, and acts as a filter for the HR department for driver recruitment and employment.
Steve Madeley, group fleet administration manager at Adler & Allan, said: “We currently have over 2,000 drivers across the extended Group and the current plan is to migrate them all onto DAVIS over time.
“We have a compact fleet team of three and, at the moment, have 1,050 drivers on the system. However, DAVIS makes the management of their licences very easy and straightforward for us.
“The use of DAVIS allows us to accurately monitor and assess all potential new drivers joining the business, and we recommend that any with over six points on their licence are not recruited.
