Alfa Romeo to launch C-segment SUV in late 2027

Alfa Romeo has teased an upcoming C-segment SUV, ahead of its launch in late 2027 as part of parent company Stellantis’ FaSTLAne 2030 plan.
It is unclear if the upcoming car will replace the Tonale, which also competes in the C-segment.
The car will be based on the STLA Medium platform, which underpins the Peugeot 3008 and 5008, Vauxhall Grandland, Jeep Compass, DS No 7 and No 8, as well as the Citroën C5 Aircross.
Alfa Romeo said the SUV will offer ‘multi-energy powertrains’, likely a mix of hybrid, plug-in hybrid and electric options, as with other cars based on STLA Medium.
It was designed at Centro Stile Alfa Romeo in Turin and will be built at the Stellantis plant in Melfi, Italy.
The car was teased at the National Automotive Industry Roundtable, organised by Made in Italy and the Italian Ministry of Enterprises.
