LUCKY builder Stuart Weir couldn’t suppress a beaming smile as he collected a gleaming new Combo won in a nationwide competition run by Vauxhall in conjunction with TradePoint, B&Q’s trade supplies subsidiary.
And who can blame him?
He told Business Vans: “I’m absolutely delighted to have won new Vauxhall Combo and will make very good use of its versatility and capability.”
The Combo competition was part of a promotional campaign at 58 B&Q stores throughout the UK.
Stuart, from Peterhead, entered the prize draw at the Aberdeen store where local Vauxhall retailer Peter Vardy was displaying the full range of Vauxhall Commercial Vehicles.
The van Stuart’s won is a brand new Vauxhall Combo ecoFLEX 1.3CDTi (90PS). It’s got Start/Stop technology, and a 1.3 CDTi (90PS) diesel engine that should give him just under 60mpg which will be a big help with his business van finance.
The Combo was presented at the B&Q warehouse in Aberdeen by Adrian Wild, Vauxhall commercial vehicle & B2B sales development manager for Scotland and Northern Ireland, with Timothy Hammond-Evans, Peter Vardy group van manager, and Mitch Wilson, commercial vehicle specialist at Peter Vardy in Aberdeen.
