Caroline Sandall-Mansergh, Alphabet’s consultancy and channel development manager, has been recognised for her leadership in fleet decarbonisation at the British Vehicle Rental and Leasing Association’s (BVRLA) 16th annual awards dinner in London on 5 March 2025.

Sandall-Mansergh, who joined Alphabet in 2022, was nominated in the Decarbonisation Driver category for her efforts in supporting the industry’s transition to lower-carbon mobility solutions. With over 30 years’ experience in fleet management, she has played a significant role in advancing sustainability initiatives, including smarter mobility solutions, corporate car sharing, and vehicle electrification.

In 2024, more than 40% of Alphabet’s new vehicle deliveries were battery electric vehicles (BEVs), and its live fleet portfolio surpassed one-third BEV for the first time. Sandall-Mansergh played a key role in this progress, leading 18 major consultations with large corporate fleets last year, alongside a high-performing Alphabet team.

Speaking after the event, Sandall-Mansergh said: “I feel extremely honoured to be recognised by my industry peers. It comes from working with an incredible team that is committed to realising the best outcomes for our customers.

“Decarbonisation has become an integral part of Alphabet’s daily operations, so enhancing the support that we provide for customers is a primary focus for our team, as well as a passion of mine. It proves that, together, we really can bring about positive change.”

Adam Forshaw, head of communications at the BVRLA, added: “The standard of entries this year was exceptional, making it increasingly difficult for the judges to identify a clear winner in each of the three categories.

“It’s always inspiring to read about the great work our members are doing, and to have the opportunity to come together and recognise outstanding performance.”

Sandall-Mansergh is currently overseeing the launch of Carbon Manager, a fleet emissions reporting tool for Alphabet’s UK customers. The web-based platform provides end-to-end sustainability management, allowing fleet operators to track and reduce their carbon footprint through detailed insights and actionable strategies.
