EV charge point brand Andersen has launched its most accessible home charging unit to date with the arrival of the all-new Quartz – a compact domestic charge point.

Available from today (4th April), the Andersen Quartz can be ordered as a 7kW single-phase or 22kW three-phase unit, in either socketed or tethered formats – the former being a first for the brand.

Prices start at £685 including VAT, or from £1,105 fully installed, with every unit protected by a seven-year warranty.

Despite being 34% shorter and 45% narrower than Andersen’s previous most compact charger – the award-winning A3 – the Quartz doesn’t compromise on features.

Designed and hand-built at Andersen’s Bedfordshire facility, the unit features robust, fully weatherproof cast aluminium construction, and is compatible with solar energy systems and variable-rate electricity tariffs.

David Martell, CEO of Andersen, said: “As the EV market moves towards mass adoption, we are extending our product portfolio to meet the needs and expectations of the wider range of customers that are now looking to invest in a domestic charge point that offers style as well as functionality.

“We’ve made a significant investment in research and development and in our production facilities ahead of this launch, and we’re expecting the introduction of the Andersen Quartz to make the quality and style of Andersen home chargers available to greater numbers of discerning EV drivers.”

The Quartz offers more than 100 customisation options for fascia and body colours, and can be finished with a sustainable Accoya wood or carbon fibre fascia. Its design and finish reflect the same high standards that have established Andersen as a leader in the UK premium charging market.

The unit is compatible with the brand’s refreshed app, which enables users to monitor charging activity, track energy usage, schedule charges to align with off-peak tariffs, and manage solar integration.

An optional display screen is also available for those who prefer a physical interface.

More than 70% of the components used in the new model are manufactured in the UK, aligning with the brand’s sustainability goals and supporting domestic supply chains.

Production capacity at the Bedfordshire site has been doubled in anticipation of strong demand.
