Arnold Clark Kia plans to open two professional business van (PBV) centres in the UK later this year.
The two Arnold Clark Kia PBV Centres in Glasgow and Liverpool should be fully operational by late 2025 – coinciding with first UK deliveries of the Kia PV5.
Kia’s first dedicated fully electric commercial vehicle, the PV5, unveiled earlier this year, will exclusively be available from the Arnold Clark site to customers in Glasgow and Liverpool, and their surrounding areas.
The Kia PV5 Cargo is a purpose-built electric van designed to meet the needs of modern businesses, with flexible configurations and smart connectivity.
The Arnold Clark Kia PBV Centres aim to be dedicated to the sales, support, and servicing of Kia’s upcoming PBV range.
These specialist sites also intend to play a role in educating fleet and small to medium enterprise (SME) customers on the practical benefits of going electric, from reducing running costs to meeting emissions targets and accessing Government incentives.
Paul Brown, fleet franchise manager at Arnold Clark, said: “We’re excited to expand our partnership with Kia through the launch of the UK’s first PBV Centres.
“These dedicated sites in Glasgow and Liverpool will provide support for businesses looking to make the switch to electric.
“We’re delighted to be able to offer exclusive availability of the PV5 and look forward to showcasing its excellent capabilities to our customers.”
Simon Hetherington, commercial director at Kia UK, added: “We are delighted to partner with Arnold Clark to lead our brand-new PBV commercial vehicle strategy.
“The new network of PBV Centres ensures we will offer the vital support that commercial vehicle customers need.
“The new Kia PBV Centres at Glasgow and Liverpool cover everything from sales to after sales and servicing in their regions and will be instrumental in our ambition to hit the ground running when first customer deliveries of the exciting PV5 arrive in the UK later this year.”
