Audi Q4 e-tron gains range, faster charging, cabin updates

Audi has made a series of updates to the Q4 e-tron, its best-selling electric vehicle (EV), adding range, faster charging and making a series of tweaks to the interior.

Range is now up to 367 miles in the Q4 Sportback e-tron quattro performance, up from 349.

All models have received a range boost of between 10 and 20 miles, due to more efficient motors, a new pulse inverter, more efficient lubricant in the transmission and optimised software.

Maximum charging speed is now 185kW, up from 175kW, allowing 115 miles of range to be added in 10 minutes, while a 10% to 80% top-up takes 27 minutes.

The interior has received new screens, with an 11.9-inch unit in front of the driver, a 12.8-inch touchscreen and an optional 12-inch passenger display.

Two cooled inductive charging trays have been added.

As before, Audi offers the traditional SUV bodystyle, alongside the more streamlined Sportback model, with 62kWh and 82kWh battery options available on both.

Rear wheel drive and quattro four wheel drive options remain, with quattro variants gaining 400kg of towing capacity, for a total of 1,800kg.
