Accident management firm AX has ordered more than 400 Toyota and Lexus cars for its replacement car fleet, in order to support customers following accidents.
It will add 400 Toyota Corolla Hybrids, all of which are made in the UK, along with 40 RAV4 Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV) cars and a number of Lexus RX PHEVs to enhance its premium offer.
AX added hundreds of electric vehicles (EVs) to its fleet of replacement cars last year, enabling it to offer all EV drivers a like-for-like replacement.
Dan Cripps, fleet and logistics director at AX, said: “This latest investment is about putting the customer first.
“By expanding our fleet with a broad mix of ICE, hybrid, PHEV and EVs, we can meet drivers’ needs quickly and effectively, whatever they drive.
“Working closely with Toyota and Lexus allows us to deliver reliable, high-quality vehicles while future-proofing our fleet for the changing UK market.”
Neil Broad, general manager at One Toyota Fleet Services, said: “The decision by AX to add Toyota and Lexus vehicles with different powertrains to their customer fleet, reflects our own philosophy of providing a multipath powertrain future.
“No one technology suits every customer so it makes sense to provide a broad choice.
“With our colleagues at Kinto providing funding and the bulk of the order consisting of British built Corollas, we look forward to building our relationship with AX in the future with a range of new models and powertrains we are launching in 2026.”
