Hyundai aftersales LIKE BMW with the SME Company Car Programme, there’s no change to the winner of the Best SME Aftersale Programme, with Hyundai claiming top honours again in the Business Car Manager SME Company Car of the Year Awards.

So why are the Korean brand still at the top? Well, Hyundai hasn’t just rested on its laurels, introducing its Fleet Aftersales Charter in Spring 2014. This Charter ensures the highest level of service is provided to SME customers, achieved by employing a range of customer-focused initiatives, such as fixed labour rates and discounts on parts, while ensuring baseline customer service requirements are met.

The newly introduced Fleet Sales Charter sits at the heart of the business, putting fleet customers first.

The charter operates on four distinct levels:

  • Reducing cost of ownership
  • Ease of use
  • Hyundai experience
  • Transparency

The need for SMEs to manage their costs closely is dealt with by the multi-point Charter – which 99% of the retail network is signed up to. It incorporates a number of in-built cost-saving mechanisms and assurances. Hyundai’s five-year unlimited mileage warranty ensures service, maintenance and repair costs are kept as low as possible, by including roadside assistance and vehicle health checks as standard, saving customers further costs.

Additionally, Hyundai has invested in additional new roles within the fleet team at Hyundai’s headquarters in High Wycombe, to support and enhances its fleet operations.

At dealer level, Hyundai has continued to rollout its Fleet Service Centres over the last 12 months to cater specifically for the corporate and SME fleet sector. While bespoke training modules have been introduced at the Hyundai Academy, to train business specialists in the handling of fleet enquiries.

“A dedicated “Fleet Aftersales Charter”, dedicated service centres, fixed rates and a mystery shop programme clearly demonstrates Hyundai’s commitment to Customer Care.,” said Paul Bulloch, managing director of Concept Vehicle Leasing, a specialist small fleet leasing company to the SME sector.

The SME Company Car of the Year Awards 2015 is sponsored by Concept Vehicle Leasing and Fleet Alliance.
