BYD SEAL 6 DM-i awarded five-star Euro NCAP safety rating

The BYD SEAL 6 DM-i saloon and its estate counterpart, the SEAL 6 DM-i TOURING, have achieved the maximum five-star Euro NCAP safety rating in the latest round of assessments.

The result strengthens the models’ appeal as long-range family cars, with both earning high scores across all four areas of testing.

The SEAL 6 DM-i secured a 92% rating for Adult Occupant Protection, receiving maximum points in the side barrier and side pole impact tests.

Child Occupant Protection was rated at 90%, with full marks awarded in both the frontal offset and side barrier evaluations.

The models also performed strongly in the assessments for Vulnerable Road User Protection and Safety Assistance systems, scoring 84% and 85% respectively. Euro NCAP described the BYD-developed driver-assistance features as ‘excellent’.
