CalAmp has launched a Google Pub/Sub integration for its Telematics Cloud platform, designed to provide enterprise customers with real-time data streaming into Google Cloud.
The integration enables transportation and logistics organisations to access telematics data without the delays associated with batch processing, supporting faster operational decision-making and improved responsiveness to in-transit events.
CalAmp said the move addresses growing pressure on fleet operators to improve service levels and control costs, with data latency increasingly seen as a key operational constraint.
By enabling continuous data streaming, the integration should remove the need for complex, custom-built data pipelines and allows organisations to process and act on data as events occur.
The launch expands CalAmp’s cloud delivery options, adding Google Cloud to its existing integrations with AWS, Microsoft Azure and Apache Kafka-based environments, allowing customers to integrate the platform into a wider range of existing architectures.
Paul Washicko, general manager of telematics solutions at CalAmp, said: “Organisations building analytics and AI platforms on Google Cloud need immediate access to operational data.
“This integration enables faster response time, improves route execution, and supports decision-making while events are still unfolding.”
CalAmp said the integration is aimed at high-scale fleet operations where timing and reliability are critical, enabling businesses to dynamically adjust routes, respond to disruptions in real time and maintain visibility across vehicles and assets.
Ali Ghulamali, vice president of engineering at CalAmp, added: “By combining CalAmp’s advanced telematics data processing with Google Pub/Sub’s resilient messaging infrastructure, we deliver a scalable streaming service designed to support reliable high-volume data delivery.”
The Google Pub/Sub integration is available immediately to customers using CalAmp Telematics Cloud DataHub.
