Changan has added a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) model to the Deepal S05 range, joining the rear and all wheel drive electric variants.

It uses a 1.5-litre four-cylinder engine, with 86PS, along with a 234PS electric motor, for a total maximum output of 258PS.

The motor is powered by an 18.4kWh battery, for an electric-only range of 62 miles, or a combined range of 621 miles.

Charging speeds of up to 55kW are supported through a DC charger, or 11kW through an AC charger.
