Chery has confirmed that it will bring the TIGGO 4 CSH, a B-segment rival to the Nissan Juke and Ford Puma, to the UK with prices starting at £19,995.
All models use a hybrid powertrain, combining a 1.5-litre engine, a 1.83kWh battery and an automatic gearbox for a total of 204PS.
The TIGGO 4 is priced almost £10,000 less than the cheapest Juke Hybrid and around £6,000 less than the cheapest Puma, although the Puma is only available as a mild hybrid.
Chery will reveal the specification and further pricing details of the TIGGO 4 in the coming weeks.
Dealers are currently taking pre-orders for the model.
Farrell Hsu, country director at Chery UK, said: “The Chery TIGGO 4 CSH is a model we’ve been very excited to introduce in the UK.
“Our first full-hybrid reflects what CHERY stands for – smart technology, everyday usability and exceptional value.
“It’s packed with personality and intelligent features, with our unique Chery Super Hybrid technology as standard, giving customers a smarter choice for their next SUV.”
As with Chery’s other models, the TIGGO 4 has a seven-year, 100,000-mile warranty and an eight-year, 100,000-mile battery warranty.
