Dacia Duster
This is the new Dacia Duster SUV on which the new commercial van will be based. Full details are due to be unveiled at the CV Show
While Dacia CVs are new to the UK, they are an established section of the brand’s line up in Romania where they are built. They will also not challenge Renault vans but fill gaps in the market where the French firm is not really selling strongly.
Duster Van gets its power from a tried and tested 107hp 1.5dCi diesel used in Kangoo and the Nissan NV200
Available with either front- or four-wheel drive, Duster Van gets its power from a tried and tested 107hp 1.5dCi diesel used in Kangoo and the Nissan NV200 and which develops 240Nm of peak torque. Without back seats you can expect to find 1.75 load length and about a metre between wheel arches. Dacia makes three commercial vehicles: the van and pick-up, both based on the Logan, and the recently launched Dokker Van. At the end of 2012 and just before launching the Dacia car range,  Renault sales director Darren Payne said there were no immediate plans for Dacia to enhance its UK presence with LCVs. “There would have to be a sensible reason to introduce the Dacian van and pick-up,” Darren told Business Vans. That time has come.
