Dash Drive, the vehicle rental arm of The Dash Group, has launched a second location in Plymouth, building on the success of its Redruth base and marking a key milestone in its South West expansion.

The half-acre site increases availability of both short- and long-term vehicle hire for businesses, fleet operators and individuals, including a wide range of commercial and electric vehicles.

Founded in 2011, Dash Drive operates a fleet of over 200 vehicles, from vans and tippers to minibuses, refrigerated units and EVs. The company serves sectors including construction, logistics, TV and film, and is forecasting £3m turnover this year.

Paul Dash, operations director at The Dash Group, said: “Opening a second Dash Drive site has long been part of our vision. With rising demand in the region, we saw an opportunity to bring something new to the local area. Whether it’s a tradesperson needing a van, or a business looking for a flexible fleet solution – we’re proud to bring our trusted service to a wider customer base.”

Led by rental manager George Pankhurst, the new site has already created an initial role for a site manager, with more jobs expected as demand grows.

Dash added: “We’re proud of our Cornish roots and our commitment to growing in a way that genuinely supports the local community. From creating new jobs to investing in infrastructure, every step we take is about building a stronger future.

“As we continue to expand, we’re focused on delivering high-quality services in the region, while developing a team that shares our passion for quality and service – all while staying true to the values that define us: integrity, innovation and respect.”

The Plymouth launch is part of a broader growth strategy that includes a larger vehicle workshop and plans for further multi-service sites across the South West.
