Denza prices BAO 5 PHEV from £69,500

Denza has set the recommended retail price of the BAO 5 plug-in hybrid (PHEV), its first SUV to launch in the UK, at £69,500.

On the road pricing is likely to be slightly higher when deliveries begin in early 2027, accounting for the first registration fee, Vehicle Excise Duty (VED) and delivery to the dealer.

Two trim levels will be offered: the entry-level Elegance and the £78,880 Ultimate.

Both variants have an electric motor on each axle and a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine, producing a combined 544PS.

A 31.8kWh battery provides an electric range of 62 miles. It can be charged from 30% to 80% in 16 minutes.

Electronic differential locks on each axle provide improved off-road ability.

Standard equipment on the Denza BAO 5 Elegance includes a panoramic sunroof, heated, ventilated and massaging front seats, an 18-speaker Devialet sound system and a temperature-controlled storage box, which can cool food down to minus six degrees Celsius, or heat it up to 50 degrees Celsius.

The Ultimate gains 20-inch alloy wheels, electronically deploying side steps, Nappa leather and ventilated rear seats.
