Derry Bros has launched a self-service solution to help hauliers, freight forwarders and logistics operators simplify customs requirements and reduce costs when moving goods across UK and EU borders.

The new platform, SelfClear, is part of the company’s digital customs solution, Digicom, and offers on-demand generation of secure customs declarations.

“This is a gamechanger for businesses who want more independence and efficiency when managing cross-border freight movements between the UK, Ireland and the EU,” Colin Robb, head of operations and sales at Derry Bros, said. “SelfClear provides total control of customs clearance, with no waiting around for agents and no unnecessary costs, just fast and effective declarations whenever required. We have also added an AI assistant for error messaging to further support our customers with their declarations.”

SelfClear allows users to generate a wide range of customs documents 24/7, including GB Safety & Security Declarations, EU Entry Summary Declarations under ICS2, and Goods Movement References.

“The platform is intended to help businesses eliminate broker fees, avoid delays and meet evolving regulatory requirements. It also includes enterprise-level encryption, automated compliance updates and full data visibility.

“In today’s fast-paced logistics environment, efficiency, speed, and control are paramount. We understand what is at stake when goods get held up and delayed, so we have used our unrivalled customs clearance experience to develop a self-service solution that is intuitive, reliable, and genuinely helpful,” Robb added.

Derry Bros has more than 60 years of experience in the freight and logistics industry and continues to invest in technology to support smoother cross-border trade.
