E-Training World launches ADAS training module
The module aims to reduce reliance on ADAS, as E-Training World said it has made some drivers complacent.
E-Training World has launched a training module on advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), intending to boost driver understanding of the systems.
The module aims to reduce reliance on ADAS, as E-Training World said it has made some drivers complacent.
ADAS systems covered include collision warning, lane departure alerting and automatic emergency braking.
The module reminds drivers that they are responsible for driving safely and educates them on how the systems work, as well as how to use them safely.
Graham Hurdle, managing director at E-Training World, said: “Modern vehicles are increasingly complex.
“Whilst driver assistance technologies are designed to keep drivers and passengers safe, as well as other drivers, road users and pedestrians, there is growing concern that vehicle technology is becoming an increasing distraction and a collision risk.
“No technology should replace your responsibility to drive safely. Drivers must still remain alert and vigilant at all times.
“Vehicle technology can act as an extra set of eyes looking out for you, but it should never replace a driver’s own observations, concentration and judgement.
