SO I’m writing this towards the end of this year’s Confused.com London Motor Show – as the visitors thin out and head for home.

We’ve had a busy four days at the Business Car Manager SME Business Motoring Stand.

Autoglym polishes out a scratch on the Jaguar XF

Pride of place went to the Jaguar XF, our SME Company Car of the Year. But what I really took away from the last four days was the volume of interest in electric cars. And leasing.

We had three electrified cars on the stand: the MINI Countryman PHEV; BMW 530e; and the Nissan Leaf.

And the interest never stopped coming: so how does the hybrid work? How many miles can I do in electric mode? How do I charge it up? How long does it take to charge? What’s the range on the Leaf.

The representatives from BMW/MINI and Nissan never stopped – and neither did we.

The other takeaway was the increasing interest in leasing. We had Neva Consultants helping people with leasing questions – how leasing worked, what were the rentals on the cars and so on.

BMW 530e recieved huge amount of attention

It’s been a really interesting four days – and thank you to everyone who came along to visit us.

New Nissan Leaf – visitors were eager to find out about the electric car with 175 mile range

And finally, my secret star car of the show?

This Porsche Rennsport rebuild being sold by HR Owen. It’s an ’86 base car modelled on a ’69 body. Ticks all my boxes. The only thing holding me back is the price. A cool £125,000…
