Enterprise Mobility has continued its regional investment in Cornwall with the opening of a new Enterprise Rent-A-Car branch in St Austell.

The latest addition, located on Eliot Road, forms part of a broader expansion programme that has seen significant investment over the past 18 months, driven by increasing demand and evolving local transport needs.

The new branch aims to enhance Enterprise Mobility’s presence in the region, joining existing locations in Bodmin, Truro, Penryn and Penzance, as well as a recently opened site at Cornwall Airport, Newquay.

This expanded network is designed to offer greater convenience and vehicle access for residents, businesses and tourists, as well as those requiring replacement cars or access to Enterprise Car Club vehicles.

Chris Nutbeem of Artemyn Minerals Ltd said: “As a newly formed company, it can be challenging to establish new accounts with service providers that ensure smooth business operations.

“Being a global business based in Cornwall, finding a reliable car rental partner was a high priority for us.

“Enterprise Mobility’s straightforward and flexible approach to business contracts, along with its investment in local infrastructure, especially the St Austell branch, has truly made a difference in our first few months of operation.”

The expansion has created eight new jobs across the two latest branches in St Austell and at Cornwall Airport, including four graduate positions through Enterprise Mobility’s award-winning Management Training Programme.

These developments support the company’s commitment to delivering accessible and flexible mobility solutions to a broad customer base.

Enterprise Car Club, also available in the region, allows members to rent vehicles 24/7 by the hour or day.

The service is tailored for those without regular access to a vehicle, and is also being adopted by businesses looking to reduce travel expenses and improve mobility in urban areas.

Brian Swallow, vice president and general manager for Enterprise Mobility in the South West, said: “Cornwall is a unique location for Enterprise Mobility due to its blend of residents, businesses, tourists and visitors who all need access to cars and vans for a range of different activities across an extended geography, which combines dense urban areas and more remote rural areas.

“Our focus is on how we can best support the communities that we serve by extending our network and offering more options to make it easier for people and businesses to access the mobility they need, when they need it.

“We are delighted to be investing in this vibrant and historic community and helping to be a part of its future prosperity and success.”
