epyx has introduced a new Downtime Management dashboard designed to give fleets clearer real-time visibility of service, maintenance and repair activity and reduce vehicle off-road time.
The tool is part of the 1link Service Network Insights suite and uses live data from the 1link Service Network platform, which manages SMR for almost five million cars and vans.
The dashboard presents key information across six areas, including vehicles scheduled for action that day, those overdue from garages, outstanding queries awaiting responses, incidents with no assigned action and the number of hire vehicles currently being used to maintain mobility.
It also highlights garages with overdue responses and includes service level indicators showing how quickly individual workshops typically react to downtime queries.
The dashboard is available at no extra cost to fleets already subscribed to epyx’s Downtime Management value-added service, which allows operators to monitor SMR activity and send automated progress requests to garages when vehicles exceed expected timelines.
Tim Meadows, chief commercial officer at epyx, said: “Our Downtime Management value-added service has always been a popular product, providing fleets with a highly effective means of getting vehicles back on the road as soon as possible.
“It allows them to monitor their current situation and set up automatic progress requests to garages working on their vehicles, asking the reason for any delays.
“The new dashboard has been created in response to customer suggestions and is, we believe, the next level in downtime management.
“It provides managers looking after SMR with an at-a-glance picture of their overall situation, highlighting in a structured manner which vehicles and garages require action while creating a schedule of work.”
