epyx has recruited nine apprentices following a strategic overhaul of its apprenticeship programme to developing future-ready technology talent across a broad range of disciplines.
The apprentices, working in roles including software development, data analysis, business analysis and IT support, will be based either entirely at epyx’s Meriden headquarters in Warwickshire, or shared with its parent company, Corpay.
The new recruits are software developers Oleh Collins, Theo Eddy, Zohirul Islam and Harvey Keeling; data analyst Ronan Law; business analyst Jamie Warmington; and information communication technicians Luke Shaw, Daniel Wang and Josef Whitehouse.
The recruitment drive marks a significant investment in skills development, positioning epyx to better meet future technological demands while offering young professionals a strong entry point into the industry.
Natalie Harries, HR director at Corpay, said: “As a technology business, it’s crucial that we have the right skills available for the future and we take apprenticeships very seriously.
“Last year, we looked afresh at how we were handling our apprenticeship programme and, as a result, have adopted a new apprenticeship partner called Just IT and recruited more people across a wider range of skills than ever before.
“The people we have taken on range in age from 16 to 25, with some joining after finishing school and college, and others having completed university level qualifications.
“They are all completing two-year Level Three and Level Four apprenticeships that will see them rapidly upskilled and we hope and expect, become part of epyx’s long term future.”
Just IT’s software developer apprenticeship introduces learners to a broad spectrum of coding languages and web development fundamentals.
The data analyst programme covers modern techniques and approaches in analytics, while the business analyst pathway trains participants to identify and deliver digital improvements.
The information communication technician course provides essential IT support skills in line with current industry standards.
