Europcar adds JAECOO 7 to PHEV fleet
The PHEV fleet aims to help drivers try electric and hybrid driving first-hand to help remove anxieties.
To meet growing demand for plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs), Europcar Mobility Group UK has added the JAECOO 7 SUV to its rental fleet, available for business and leisure drivers across the UK.
The PHEV fleet aims to help drivers try electric and hybrid driving first-hand to help remove anxieties and show how electric driving can fit into their business and home life.
The JAECOO 7 features JAECOO’s Super Hybrid System, which can be plug charged or left to self-charge via the engine.
It combines a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine with an 18.3Kwh battery and an electric motor capable of delivering 56 miles of electric-only range and a combined range of up to 745 miles to a tank and a charge.
The JAECOO features a full-length panoramic sunroof, eight speaker SONY audio system and wireless mobile charging, as well as multiple driver assistance features such as lane departure warning and autonomous emergency braking.
Tom Middleditch, sustainability spokesperson at Europcar, said: “We are delighted to be able to add such a popular vehicle to our growing fleet, to support the Europcar commitment to demystifying electrification.
“The wide range of hybrid and fully electric cars and vans on the Europcar fleet is helping drivers and businesses experience zero and low emissions driving, with many discovering just how easily they can fit lower emissions vehicles into their operations.”
