Europcar Mobility Group UK has made a series of appointments in its New Business division, as it embarks on ambitious growth plans.

Niamh Smith (pictured), the former head of national sales at Nexus Rental, has become new business director.

At Nexus, she built strategic partnerships with the fleet industry. Previously, Smith spent 19 years at RAC Group, in fleet and sales roles.

Europcar said Smith will provide corporates, as well as fleet and leasing companies with comprehensive mobility solutions to fit their requirements.

Europcar has also added two business development directors, Amanda Lawrence and Paul Brown.

The company said that Lawrence and Brown bring extensive experience in the fleet and rental sector.

Smith said: “Having worked in the fleet and mobility sector for nearly 30 years, I have been very aware of the Europcar offering and have seen how it has evolved to capitalise on connected vehicle technology, as well as take the lead in the electric vehicle (EV) rental space.

“I am very much looking forward to working with new clients to identify ways in which we can help them improve operational efficiency as well as meet their net zero targets.”
