Express Cabs & Couriers has selected Trakm8 as its telematics provider, signing a five-year deal.
The company, which covers Kent and the surrounding areas, implemented the video telematics solution in order to reduce fleet insurance premiums, and enhance driver performance.
Jason Brown, operations manager at Express Cabs & Couriers, said: “Trakm8’s RH600 fleet dash cam and Insight Essentials platform give us a complete view of how our vehicles and drivers are performing on the road.
“This technology will help us manage our fleet more effectively, improve driver behaviour, and crucially, support our efforts to lower insurance costs.
“We’re confident this investment will deliver significant long-term value for our business.”
Under the agreement, Express Cabs & Couriers’ fleet of 183 vehicles will be fitted with RH600 4G dash cams, with integrated telematics, providing a cost saving when compared with separate units.
Express Cabs & Couriers has a wide-ranging fleet, including coaches, executive cars, minibuses, taxis, and wedding cars.
Trakm8 will also provide its Insight Essentials platform, allowing for real-time vehicle tracking and driver behaviour monitoring, designed to improve safety and efficiency.
