The Jaguar F-Type Coupe’s shape was first trailed at the Frankfurt Motor Show two years ago by the C-X16 concept, and the production car keeps most of of the dramatic looks that drew so much praise back then.
A couple of features are missing though – the F-Type loses the C-X16’s E-Type-style side-hinged tailgate in favour of a more conventional hatch, and there’s no sign of the hybrid drivetrain that was touted at the unveiling of the C-X16, although hybrid technology has since made it into cars made by Jaguar’s sister company Land Rover.
