Three Farizon SV electric vans took part in the Explorer EV Rally 2025, with two of the vans beating their official efficiency figures.

The rally saw vehicles drive from Newquay to Cheshire over the course of five days, completing an average of 1,043 miles.

All vans were monitored by an independent telematics provider, Pace Technology, which reported that the Farizon SV L3H3, fitted with a 106kWh battery, exceeded its Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicles Test Procedure (WLTP) efficiency rating by 9.7%, achieving 2.402 miles per kWh.

The L2H2 variant, fitted with an 83kWh battery, exceeded its rating by 1.5%, achieving 2.335 miles per kWh.

Pace Technology said that the Farizon SV L1H1 with an 83kWh battery failed to achieve its WLTP efficiency figure, falling 7.3% below, with an efficiency figure of 2.365 miles per kWh.

Each van carried a load for the duration of the rally. One powered a fridge for the duration of the event, through its vehicle-to-load (V2L) system, one carried event kit and one was fitted with a racking system from Sortimo.

Vans also carried luggage and either two or three people.

Calum James, general manager at Farizon UK, said: “People are used to taking the official range and efficiency stats with a pinch of salt, so I’m very proud that the data collected demonstrates just how efficient the Farizon SV is in the real-world, on real roads and with realistic loads in the back, all with multiple drivers throughout the test period.

“This validation of the SV’s operational efficiency will instil even greater confidence among our customers.

“The resulting message is clear: the SV will deliver for businesses, day after day.”

Farizon SV vans offer a range of up to 342 miles in urban driving.
