Ferrari has revealed that its first electric vehicle (EV) will be named Luce, and has released photos of its interior.

Luce means light in Italian, which Ferrari said signifies its focus on the future.

Ferrari revealed the interior at an event in San Francisco, held in collaboration with LoveFrom, a design firm which Ferrari collaborated with to design the Luce.

The car’s full reveal will be held in May 2026 at Ferrari’s e-building in Maranello.

The Luce’s steering wheel is a simplified three-spoke unit, intended to reference Ferrari steering wheels of the 1950s and 1960s.

It has an E Ink key, which changes colour from yellow to black when inserted into the glass key dock.

Three displays feature in the interior: one in front of the driver, a control panel in the centre console and one in the rear.

The driver’s display moves with the steering wheel to ensure it is always in view, and is comprised of two overlapping display units, creating a 3D effect.

It features graphics inspired by classic instrument clusters manufactured by Jaeger and Veglia.

The control panel can be moved to face the driver or the passenger.

Ferrari said that the car’s hardware and software were developed together to ensure the user experience is harmonious.
