Fix Auto Basingstoke yesterday opened its vehicle repair centre, with a launch event that brought together professionals in the UK accident repair industry.
The opening welcomed industry suppliers, vehicle insurance representatives and industry peers, alongside other Fix Auto UK Franchise Partners from across the southern region.
Guests were allowed to tour the 25,000 sq ft facility, learn more about the measures that owner Dale Morris and his team have taken to ensure it is sustainable.
The Wade Road building, which is close to Morris’ secondary 15,000 sq ft site and the only one in the Fix Auto UK Group solely dedicated to repairing vans, LCVs, motorhomes and small lorries, has been designed to ensure environmental responsibility.
Fully electric with total power supplied by solar panels, the site incorporates energy-efficient technologies, responsible waste management systems and various processes aimed at reducing carbon emissions without compromising on repair quality, safety or turnaround times.
The opening event celebrated the launch of a flagship repair centre and the growth of the Fix Auto UK brand.
Speaking at the event, Morris outlined how the new centre, which will be overseen by Mark White, group manager, represents “a significant investment in the future of sustainable accident repair and a clear statement of intent for what modern bodyshops can and should deliver.
He said: “Repair centres like ours will be the future of our industry, it’s what our customers, work suppliers and insurer partners will expect. I’m just delighted to be at the very front of these developments.”
Ian Pugh, managing director for the Advantage Group of Companies, said: “What Dale and his team have achieved not only raises the bar for vehicle repair facilities, but truly establishes a flagship venue and one we’re all extremely excited about and proud of.
“It once again demonstrates the confidence Dale—and so many fellow Franchise Partners—have in being part of the Group.
“No stone has been left unturned and no expense spared, to ensure the facility is as eco-friendly and sustainable as possible, utilising today’s leading technologies, products and techniques.
“Today is truly a great day for Fix Auto Basingstoke and Fix Auto UK.”
