FleetCheck has funded 50 bursary memberships of the Association of Fleet Professionals (AFP), and will award them before the end of the year.

The scheme aims to make AFP membership as widely available as possible.

It will award the bursaries to FleetCheck customers that would otherwise be unable to join the AFP.

FleetCheck has become an AFP Platinum member, and will hold two webinars in partnership with the AFP.

The first will be exclusively for FleetCheck customers on 20th October, while another will be opened to the wider industry in Q4.

Peter Golding, CEO at FleetCheck, said: “We’re longtime members of the AFP and often recommend joining to our users.

“It’s an excellent organisation that provides superb support to fleets – promoting dialogue, high-quality training and the sector’s wider interests.

“For a while, we’ve been identifying means of supporting the wider fleet community and have launched a series of initiatives such as our recent FleetInsights online library.

“These new AFP bursaries are a further step in that thinking.

“We have 50 memberships lasting a minimum of 12 months to award to FleetCheck customers and are currently drawing up qualifying criteria.

“The accent is on identifying those who otherwise couldn’t join the AFP but are likely to become engaged in its activities, gaining the most out of the organisation.

“Our view is that being part of the AFP is a huge benefit to any fleet and enabling as many of our users as possible to access those benefits will help them become safer, more efficient, more progressive vehicle operators.”

Paul Hollick, chair at the AFP, said: “We’re delighted to be working with FleetCheck. One of our key aims for 2026 is to increase our representation among smaller fleets and while FleetCheck has many larger, corporate customers, it is especially well-represented in the SME sector and these bursaries should help towards our objective.”
