Mazda is giving fleets an early preview of the Mazda6e electric vehicle (EV), ahead of it going on sale in the summer, with a nationwide roadshow.

A fleet of left hand drive Mazda6e cars, driven by the company’s corporate sales managers, is visiting more than 75 businesses around the country.

Mazda expects user-chooser fleets to find the 6e competitive in the D segment of the EV market, due to its cost of ownership, practicality and desirability.

It is also touring its UK dealer network with a fleet of Mazda6e models to raise awareness of the local fleet opportunities the car brings.

Jeremy Thomson, managing director at Mazda Motors UK, said: “Over the years we have built close relationships with end-user fleets across the UK, so we are keen to give them the earliest possible opportunity to see, drive and assess the Mazda6e.

“This model marks a significant milestone for our fleet strategy. The D-segment of the BEV fleet market is expanding and we are entering it with a model that aligns with what businesses and user-choosers are actively looking for: competitive whole‑life costs, practicality and desirability.

“The Mazda6e is designed to do an important job which is why we are giving fleet managers this chance to experience the car for themselves ahead of its launch.

“We’re looking forward to working with our corporate customers to build awareness of the Mazda6e as we evolve our brand into the electric era.”
