Business Van Manager Road Test Rating
It’s becoming expected for van makers to offer a ‘hot hatch’ styled top-line model in the hatchvan sector – and Ford’s SportVan styling looks good on the all-new Fiesta van, based on the sporty-looking three-door Fiesta bodyshell. But using such a sporty body as the basis for a van has been at the expense of practicality, with payload and loadspace reduced from the previous, more boxy Fiesta van. And the new model obviously shows its car roots – there are no rear seats, but there are cupholders in the side panels! But if it’s image you’re after, the Ford Fiesta SportVan’s looks will surely overcome any practicality gripes. It’s also a pleasure to drive, especially with sports suspension and bigger alloys.
