  • Hybrid versions throughout Yaris range with new Active and Sport versions;
  • Yaris Hybrid Active on offer at launch at £14,995;
  • Sport adds 16-inch alloys, privacy glass and spoilers priced from £16,695.

THERE is a hybrid version in all four models of the Toyota Yaris now that it has added the Active and Sport hybrid versions to its line-up.

Active becomes the new entry point to Toyota’s hybrid technology and the five-door hatch comes equipped with dual-zone climate control, trip computer, power front windows and split-folding rear seats.

Claiming 75g/km CO2 emissions and a combined cycle fuel economy of 85.6mpg, the hybrid attracts no annual vehicle excise duty and, for London drivers, is exempt from the congestion charge.

The Sport adds rear privacy glass, 16-inch alloy wheels, rear spoiler and a rear pillar treatment that creates a floating roof effect. Other key features include climate control, power windows all round and the Toyota Touch 2 multimedia system with DAB radio, Bluetooth, touchscreen control and rear view camera. An optional Skyview panoramic roof can also be specified for an extra £550.

Using the larger alloy wheels has a small effect on economy figures which are 82g/km CO2 emissions and 78.5mpg.
The new Yaris Hybrid Active is launched with an on-the-road price tag of £14,995, including a special £300 introductory customer saving while the Hybrid Sport is priced at £16,695.
