Hyundai-owned luxury brand Genesis has reported greatly increased fleet and salary sacrifice interest since being brought into the main Hyundai business at the start of 2024.

An expanded corporate sales team has taken advantage of the joint appeal of the relationship between Genesis and Hyundai to put the brand in front of more than 4,500 potential customers.

To date, there have been almost 650 customer agreements made with Genesis saying that both blue-chip companies and public sector authorities are now starting to see Genesis electrified vehicles in their company car parks.

Genesis vehicles are now available on user-chooser lists and salary sacrifice schemes and the brand says that the various financial and environmental benefits of its vehicles are appealing to both employers and employees.

The brand has been particularly successful in making its mark on salary sacrifice schemes, which allow drivers to make significant tax savings, employees accessing vehicles using pre-tax income to reduce both income tax and National Insurance contributions.

According to Jonny Miller, Brand Director at Genesis Motor UK, the brand has made a good start to the salary sacrifice car market. “It’s about getting on to those all-important user-chooser lists with those customers and suppliers that offer such schemes,” he said.

“We have a strong proposition with our models that align with both corporate sustainability goals and the desires of the driver, who want both emission and financial efficiencies as well as slick design and luxury – add in that employers also benefit from reduced National Insurance contributions, and we have created a win-win situation for all,” Miller added.

Genesis stated that its focus on electrification and a commitment to a more sustainable future was well-positioning it to meet the rising demand for green and tax-efficient motoring, adding that employers who offer Genesis vehicles through salary sacrifice schemes have reported high employee satisfaction.
