Gofor appointed two additional business development executives (BDEs) to support its strategic business focus for 2026.
The fleet management provider recruited Jordon Walsh and Iona Mitchell, who both have backgrounds in digital media.
Both are based at Gofor’s Edinburgh headquarters. Their arrival increases the size of the business development function to six people, which aims to enhance the company’s capability to target further growth in the SME sector.
Graham Lesslie, CEO at Gofor, said: “Expanding our business development function is fundamental to achieving our ambitious growth targets for 2026, so we’re very pleased to welcome Jordon and Iona to the team.
“Their energy, skillset and customer-first mindset will complement our existing capabilities extremely well.
“The timing couldn’t be better. The latest Budget confirmed the importance of electric vehicle adoption and salary sacrifice schemes, so by strengthening our team we’re even better placed to support SMEs during this pivotal period.”
Gofor is adopting an omni-channel business development approach, combining digital-led tools with traditional relationship-building to engage with SMEs.
Walsh said: “I’ve had a very warm welcome from the Gofor team. My approach is to blend my digital expertise with a consultative style to help businesses understand the benefits of our fleet management services – including electrification and salary sacrifice.
“And once new customers are onboarded, I’ve now seen first hand that the whole Gofor team is incredible at supporting them with every aspect of fleet operations.”
Mitchell joins Gofor with a Masters in defence, development and diplomacy.
Mitchell said: “I’m delighted to be joining Gofor at such a key time. I knew the business had a great reputation for customer service and innovation, and meeting the team made it an easy decision to join.
“I’m looking forward to building strong client relationships and making my mark to support Gofor’s growth drive.
“There’s a huge opportunity to support SMEs with solutions that genuinely improve how they manage their fleets and I’m excited to be a part of that.”
The appointments follow Gofor opening the England-based office in May, welcoming three new team members to the Blackburn, Lancashire site, which is already driving sales growth.
