Greenhous DAF has opened its newly refurbished Telford site following a £3m investment, marking a major step in its expansion as one of the UK’s largest DAF dealers.
The site, formerly operated by Go Plant on Stafford Park, now houses a full repair and maintenance centre and an extensive DAF and All Makes parts offering for trucks and trailers.
The official opening took place on 9th May, attended by over 60 guests including staff, customers, suppliers and representatives from DAF Trucks.
Greenhous DAF dealer principal John Turley delivered a speech before a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by DAF Trucks dealer development director John McMenamin and operations manager Mike Seeley.
Visitors toured the refurbished site and were given a demonstration of the new all-electric DAF XD 350, the zero-emission evolution of the popular XD range, offering improved performance, reduced environmental impact and enhanced driver comfort.
Turley said: “The opening of our new site in Telford marks a major milestone in our commitment to supporting local HGV operators with everything they need, all in one place – from servicing and parts to expert advice and support.
“We’ve invested over £3m into transforming the Stafford Park site and moving from our former premises at Halesfield, which we acquired almost six years to the day.”
He added: “A huge thanks to everyone involved, including DAF, who are also celebrating 30 years of market leadership in the UK this year, our customers for their patience, our Greenhous Group directors for their investment and continued support, and our building contractors, Ample Power Limited, who made sure everything went smoothly and on time. And of course, to our staff – we couldn’t have done it without them.”
John McMenamin commented: “Congratulations to the team on this fantastic facility, which truly showcases the Greenhous way of delivering products in record time. All of those who have come from the old site will fully appreciate what they’ve moved into, and customers will be very well served from here – it’s a real stamp on the map.”
