Honda CR-V
The huge cut in emissions compared with the older 2.2 litre diesel means that this CR-V is a far more viable company car choice

Business Car Manager verdict

The Honda CR-V has always been an appealing car – but the latest Mk4 version drifted off the company car radar with its way too high CO2 emissions.

Not any more.

The new 1.6 diesel – a brilliant performer in the Civic hatchback – does another tour de force in the CR-V.

With the combination of good value P11D price, low CO2 emissions, and excellent fuel economy – we saw 60mpg average on long runs, and about 42mpg around town – the new Honda CR-V 1.6 diesel offers an SUV choice to the company car driver for not much more tax money than an upmarket family hatchback.

And puts the Honda CR-V right back on the company car grid.
