Honda servicing
The Honda Fleet Promise should mean a better service for SMEs

SMALL businesses and small SME fleets are now guaranteed nationwide service levels and pricing thanks to the launch of the Honda Fleet Promise.

Although Honda has provided a service level agreement before through its Fleet Charter, with the launch of the Honda Fleet Promise, all Honda dealerships are signed up to provide the service for the first time.

The main elements of the programme, which aims to offer a comprehensive service package, are:

  • competitive regional labour rates
  • a 8.5% minimum parts discount (service and routine maintenance parts)
  • a £8.75 maximum charge for fully synthetic oil (per litre), £6.50 maximum charge for semi-synthetic oil (per litre)
  • wiper blades/bulbs will be fitted free of charge at the time of service
  • maximum MOT charge of £35
  • service booking provided within 3 days
  • free collection and delivery for servicing within 5 days, loan car provided within 7 days
  • while-you-wait servicing available
  • all cars serviced washed and vacuumed free of charge
  • genuine Honda parts used for all repairs and services
  • no consumable or environmental charges
  • all work carries a 12-month unlimited parts and labour warranty
  • initial diagnostics on breakdowns provided within 24 hours of arrival at Honda dealership
  • annual price review for labour rates and oil pricing
  • Honda Service Stamp with all servicing

Honda is also trying to boost its appeal to business customers with a new online servicing, maintenance and repair (SMR) system.

The new system has been set up in partnership with Fleet Influence Limited and is already in operation. It can be accessed by Honda dealers, as well as fleet and leasing companies, and gives access to all service, maintenance and repair costs for every Honda model dating back to 2001.

Nick Holmes, Manager – National Aftersales and Retention at Honda (UK), said; “Honda is dedicated to providing the highest level of service to all of our customers before, during and after they choose a Honda vehicle as their company car. This new Fleet Promise, in conjunction with the new Honda SMR online system will build confidence with our fleet customers in using the Honda dealer network for all their service and maintenance requirements.”
