Hyundai has announced prices for the facelifted version of its Ioniq 5 electric family car, which offers a longer range due to a larger battery option.
On-the-road prices range from £39,900, buying the standard range 170hp variant, to £55,900 for the top-level long-range 325hp all-wheel-drive version in N Line S trim.
The revamp marks the first major update to the Ioniq 5, which attracted much praise – particularly for its futuristic visuals – when launched as Hyundai’s first purpose-built EV in 2021.

The most pertinent change in the revamped Ioniq 5 is the availability of Standard Range 63kWh and Long Range 84kWh battery sizes, producing combined ranges of up to 273 of 354 miles, depending on which of the five trim levels are selected.
Three of these trim levels are new, Advance being an entry-level and N Line and N Line S offering high trim levels with a sporting theme inspired by Hyundai’s N performance and motorsport division.
All versions of the Ioniq 5 are now fitted with a battery heating system, battery pre-conditioning and heat pump as standard. All versions also offer 800V charging as standard – they can use a 350kW ultra-rapid charger making possible replenishment from 10-80% in 18 minutes.
Other changes to the car include a refreshed exterior with new alloy wheel designs, revised front and rear bumpers and front LEDs, an extended rear spoiler, rear wiper for increased visibility and on top models slim digital side mirrors.
