Isuzu beefs up D-Max pick-up towing weight
The brawny D-Max will work even harder for you after a 500kg boost in its braked towing capacity
ISUZU’s brawny D-Max is now beefier than ever as a tug, with another 500kg added to its braked trailer towing weight. The increase takes the 4×4 pick-up’s maximum towing capacity to 3.5 tonnes, in response to customer demand for extra capacity. Farmers and businesses with heavy materials to carry will love it.
3.5 tonnes is the ‘Gold Standard’ for towing capacity
The uprated towing weight will apply to all 4×4 models of the D-Max registered in the UK from July 1 2013, with the exception of any remaining 3-tonne certified stock in Isuzu dealerships. The Isuzu D-Max is available in single-, extended- (with rear-hinged side access panels) and double-cab body styles. Double-cab models come in four specifications: Isuzu D-Max, Eiger, Yukon and Utah. Prices start at £14,499 (CVOTR) for the entry-level Isuzu D-Max 4×2 single-cab model increasing to £21,999 for the top-of-the-range Isuzu D-Max Utah 4×4 double-cab automatic variant. Isuzu introduced a range of accessories range at the 2013 Commercial Vehicle Show in April, allowing buyers to customise their vehicles to their own particular requirements. Isuzu UK general manager William Brown told Business Vans: “The addition of segment-best 3.5-tonne braked towing capacity demonstrates that the Isuzu D-Max is the pick-up of choice for business and recreational users alike. The Isuzu D-Max is selling well in the UK, with 824 registrations vehicles during the March. Read Business Vans’ Isuzu D-Max Extended Cab test review.
