Jaama will showcase its automated Driver Licence Checking solution at Road Transport Expo 2025, offering fleet professionals free DVLA licence checks on Stand N43 to highlight the system’s role in maintaining compliance and reducing business risk.

The software provides real-time licence verification, automated re-checks based on driver risk profiles, and instant alerts for offences, disqualifications or penalty points.

Each check is recorded in a full audit trail, supporting both internal compliance procedures and external regulatory standards.

Mark Francis, chief product officer at Jaama, said: “Licence compliance is a fundamental part of fleet safety and risk management.

Too many businesses still rely on manual checks and spreadsheets, which leave huge gaps. Our software closes those gaps – and by offering free licence checks at RTX, we’re inviting operators to see the benefits first-hand.”

The cloud-based Licence Portal centralises driver records, issues automated reminders, and supports real-time dashboards to help operators identify risks and ensure checks are carried out regularly – especially for high-risk drivers.

The focus on compliance comes amid recent DVLA figures, obtained by Co-op Insurance, which show that over 350,000 UK driver licences due for renewal in 2024 remain expired and unrenewed.

This poses significant legal risks for businesses, including potential fines of up to £1,000 per driver, invalid insurance and exposure under Duty of Care legislation.

In addition to licence checks, Jaama will offer live demonstrations of its MyTechnician app, showing how both tools integrate into a wider compliance and asset management platform.
