JAECOO is set to launch the 8 SHS-P in the UK, becoming the brand’s flagship SUV, with six- or seven-seat configurations available.
All JAECOO 8 models sold in the UK will have the SHS-P plug-in hybrid (PHEV) powertrain, with a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine, a three speed automatic gearbox and all wheel drive, for a total output of 428PS.
The model’s electric-only range is 83 miles.
Prices start at £45,500 and orders are open now, with first deliveries expected in May.
Standard equipment includes massaging, heated and ventilated front seats, a 14-speaker Sony sound system and lockable differentials for increased off-road capability.
Adaptive dampers also feature to improve ride quality.
The six-seat Executive model adds rear captain’s chairs, with heating, ventilation and massaging, Nappa leather and a zero-gravity front passenger seat, with a ‘Boss Button’ for passenger side control.
Executive models are priced from £47,500.
