XJS, XK and the XK8, all great recent Jaguar roadster models, living in the shadow of the unforgettably beautiful E-Type of the 60s and 70s.

Well, newly invigorated Jaguar believe they finally have a beautiful roadster to challenge the best – even confident enough to give it a similar name – the F-Type.

Jaguar would like us to think the F-Type is the modern re-make of the iconic E-Type roadster, but in reality it’s a smaller XK replacement, designed to take on and fit between the Porsche Boxster and 911.
