Jameel Motors, the UK distributor of the new Farizon SV electric large van, has signed a nationwide aftersales support agreement with the AA as the first customer deliveries approach. The agreement provides a ready-made network of workshops and mobile support for Farizon owners, included as standard with every new van.
The AA will offer service and maintenance across its 213 EV- and LCV-certified workshops and more than 100 mobile technicians. Each new Farizon SV will also include one year of AA Roadside Assistance, with coverage transferrable to new owners. The AA’s agreement includes an average roadside response time of 49 minutes, a target to complete service bookings within 48 hours, and a dedicated helpline for technical and service queries.
Kate McLaren, head of marketing and sales operations at Jameel Motors UK, said: “Minimising downtime is paramount for van users and we’ve been determined to ensure we can instil absolute peace of mind for our customers. This partnership with the AA strengthens the Farizon SV’s already compelling offer to fleets and sole traders. From the very first customers to take delivery later this month, we have them covered with award-winning aftersales provision on the phone and on the road, whatever they need.”
James Starling, business services director at the AA, said: “We have established an award-winning track record for pioneering services that de-risk fleets and keep vehicles on the road. Always ahead, we have invested in comprehensive and innovative services to support EVs through our fully EV trained roadside patrols, mobile technicians and garage network. We are extremely impressed with the Farizon SV and are looking forward to working with Jameel Motors on its pioneering EV van fleet to enhance the on the road experience for its customers in the future.”
The Farizon SV is supported by a four-year/120,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty, an eight-year/120,000-mile battery warranty, a three-year paint warranty, and a 10-year anti-perforation warranty.
The Farizon SV will be displayed at the Commercial Vehicle Show at the NEC in Birmingham from 29th April to 1st May. A Farizon SV in AA livery will also be on display at the GreenFleet Decarbonisation Hub throughout the event.
