Jigcar has appointed Jon Pollock (pictured) as commercial director, bringing over 30 years of automotive leadership experience to the AI-driven vehicle logistics start-up.

Pollock’s career includes senior roles at McLaren Automotive, where he was global sales director and managing director for Europe, as well as positions with Aston Martin, Nissan Motor GB and Toyota GB.

His appointment is the latest in a series of high-profile hires at Jigcar, which also recently named Simon Bottomley as chairman and James Griffin as transport director.

Elliott Perks, CEO and co-founder of Jigcar, said: “Having worked with Jon on a consultancy basis since Jigcar first went to market, we’re delighted to solidify his role in the management team on a permanent basis at an important time for the company as we accelerate our growth plans.

“Jon’s extensive industry experience has already been pivotal to Jigcar’s early success in the UK and will continue to be as we scale both our customer base and product offering across the dealer and fleet sectors.”

Pollock said: “After over 30 years’ corporate automotive experience, it’s a privilege to be able to join this young, dynamic start-up business.

“My focus will be to increase Jigcar’s penetration across the top 100 dealer groups and develop new partnerships with OEMs as well as rental and leasing vendors.”

Jigcar provides AI-powered transport solutions for multi-site dealer groups, car supermarkets, leasing firms, daily rental operators and corporate fleets, with a strategic focus on expanding its UK market share.
