Kia UK has announced pricing and specifications for the third and smallest member of its all electric range, the EV3, with on-the-road prices starting from £32,995 making it the cheapest electric vehicle in the Kia line-up.

The EV3 will be available in three trim levels and in the entry ‘Air’ version two battery packs. The standard 58.3kWh pack will offer a WLTP-certified range of up to 267 miles, while the £35,995 version with the 81.4kWh pack pushes the range to up to 372 miles.

The GT Line model, costing from £39,495 and the GT Line-S at £42,995 will both be supplied fitted with the larger battery and with a range of 347 miles. Fleet drivers ordering any EV3 will qualify for 2% BIK tax in 2024-25 and 3% in 2025-26.

Both battery packs power a 210hp single motor mounted on the front axle. The EV3 measures up at just over 4.3 metres long with a width of 1.85 metres and height of just under 1.6 metres, and a 2.68-metre wheelbase.

Standard equipment on all versions includes a three-screen dash layout – 12.3-inch for the driver and centre infotainment screen and a 5.3-inch version for the climate control. Other equipment highlights include wireless smartphone integration for Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, heated front seats and steering wheel, parking sensors and reversing camera and potentially useful for fleet users carrying stock, a 25-litre ‘frunk’ under the bonnet.

The EV3 is yet to be crash-tested by Euro NCAP but the car also boasts a full suite of active safety and driver-assistance electronics, including smart cruise control and a rear cross-traffic alert.

Kia dealers will start taking orders for the EV3 on 1st August, with first UK customer deliveries in late 2024.
