Kia has expanded its Platform Beyond Vehicle line-up at the 2026 Commercial Vehicle Show with two new PV5 Cargo variants and the appointment of five approved UK conversion partners.
The new PV5 Cargo L1/H1 and L2/H2 models are making their European debut at the event, broadening the range alongside the existing L2/H1 variant, PV5 Passenger and PV5 Chassis models.
Kia said the additions give fleets more choice in payload and cargo volume, allowing operators to select configurations suited to their operational needs.
The PV5 Cargo L1/H1 offers 4.0 cubic metres of load space and payload of up to 800kg, while the larger L2/H2 provides 5.2 cubic metres of cargo volume and expected payload of 630kg.
First UK customer deliveries of the L1/H1 are expected within the next few months, with the L2/H2 due in early 2027.
Kia has also announced its first five approved UK PBV Conversion Partners: Würth, Modul-System, CoolKit, TGS Automotive Group and GM Coachworks.
The partners will provide specialist solutions including racking systems, fridge conversions, lightweight tippers and wheelchair accessible vehicle conversions.
Paul Philpott, president and chief executive at Kia UK, said: “Businesses need electric vans that fit straight into their operations, supported by services that make running them simple and predictable.
“The Kia PV5 is already proving its value on UK roads, and the additions we are announcing today give our customers even more flexibility, capability and confidence.
“From new Cargo variants to our growing network of PBV Centres and newly announced approved Kia PBV Conversion Partners, Kia has built a commercial vehicle offering designed around real-world business requirements. We are excited to embark on this new chapter in our PBV story.”
Kia also announced new support services for business users, including preferential servicing rates, prepaid service plans and preferred charging partners Ohme and Radius.
The company said the PV5 is now available through Kia Rental, allowing businesses to hire the model from one day to more than a month.
Kia said its momentum in the UK light commercial vehicle market accelerated during the first quarter of 2026, with combined PV5 Cargo and Passenger registrations reaching 1,604 units.
The manufacturer said this placed it third in the zero-emission LCV market.
Prices for the PV5 Cargo L2/H1 start from £27,645 excluding VAT and the Zero Emission Van Grant.
