LED lighting specialist Labcraft has launched a new strip light, specifically designed for use in commercial vehicles.

The Orizon FLEX is designed to be more durable than existing strip lights, featuring reverse polarity protection, transient voltage suppression, and in-built current regulation.

Performance across 12v and 24v systems is consistent, while light output is consistent along the length of the strip.

The light is also R10 approved, meaning it can be used in vehicles across the UK and Europe.

Light output is 500 lumens per metre, and the strip conforms to the IP69K standard, resisting high-pressure jet washes.

Jamie Petit, technical director at Labcraft, said: “The Orizon FLEX is a game changer for commercial vehicle operators.

“It’s incredibly versatile, ultra-reliable, and R10 approved – a standard few in the market can meet. We’ve taken every weakness of conventional flexible LED strips and solved it with automotive-grade engineering.”

The strip is flexible, allowing for it to be mounted with 3M tape on curved surfaces, and it can also integrate into a plug-and-play wiring harness system, streamlining the installation process.

Petit said: “Body builders are under increasing pressure to reduce installation time, boost reliability, and deliver high-quality conversions.

“Orizon FLEX saves time with its adhesive backing and plug-and-play compatibility and reduces long-term maintenance through its advanced protective features.”

Colour temperature is 7,000K-8,000K, or cool white.

Specialists in emergency vehicles and refrigerated vehicles have already begun using the LED strips, with certifications already completed, and a three-year warranty provided.

Labcraft will show the Orizon FLEX at the Road Transport Expo (RTX 2025) in Stoneleigh, from 24th June to 26th June.
